Future Ready Iowa Final Recommendations

As many of you know, the Future Ready Iowa Alliance has been hard at work over the last year to put efforts in place that will lead to attainment of the FRI goal of 70% of workforce have education or training beyond high school by the year 2025. The final recommendations were released yesterday. Please read these and consider how you might work toward implementation of these actions.

Youth Program PPTW

Please share our new three youth eight-week program groups with your networks (9-11 year olds, 12-14 year olds, 15-19 year olds).  The purpose of this programming is to increase youth self-worth through building friendships, social skills, and communication skills. This 8-week opportunity will be filled with games, activities, and the chance for students to feel safe and empowered. These groups are well suited for students who have been diagnosed with anxiety or ADHD. This is a FREE program at Meredith Middle School in Des Moines, on Monday evenings 5:30-6:45p starting on October 2nd!  Space is limited, so hurry and register!  Educators please share this info with your families.  This is a rare opportunity!
